Interview: Meet Nathalie Azobel w/ BOLD Journey

Nathalie Azoubel October 12, 2024

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nathalie Azoubel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nathalie below.

Nathalie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Well… I believe some of it is part of my personality, but most of it came with hard work.
I always try do give it my all and do my best at whatever it is I am pursuing, and I put the time. I work hard, I try to absorb all the knowledge and experience from others I admire, I open my eyes, ears and pores to learn as much as I can. And I take big leaps, I throw myself out there and expose myself to the experiences… which is ultimately the most effective way to learn.

If we are talking about my job as a Real Estate agent and Brokerage Founder, for example, I first observed those doing a great job around me. Then, of course, jumped to the field and learned by doing. Experience brings confidence and self-esteem almost automatically, especially when you know in your heart that you are doing a job you are passionate about!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

After 15 years in the industry, I founded Houselab Realty in 2023.
But I couldn’t have done it with the support of my amazing team, because ultimately people are the key in this and any service industry. We pride ourselves with going above and beyond for our clients, before, during and after the transaction is done.

Houselab is a true ’boutique’ real estate brokerage, catering to buyers and sellers all over Miami. From investment portfolios to luxury properties, we cover it all! We pride ourselves with a creative approach to real estate, thinking outside the box and persevering until we find the right opportunity for each one of our clients.

We are now working on helping investors, first home buyers, and owners ready to sell their properties, always giving it our all!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Number one would be strong work and personal ethics. I treat others and my clients even better than I would expect to be treated. I am a big believer in karma, and I am certain that every good deed comes back tenfold.

Number two would be developing people skills: having empathy, and reading the audience, knowing when to talk and when to listen… well, you get the picture. It’s not a skill everyone is born with, but a super crucial one!

Number three would be being the most prepared person in the room. You need to know your stuff, really own it and support it with hard work. Constantly learning and being ready for the challenge.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

I think it’s a matter of balance. We all want to be well rounded and learn new things in those areas we are not our best.

However, I believe it is in our best interest to go all in on our strengths and really become the very best at something.
We can’t all be excellent in every area or subject, but we can shine in one thing if we really invest in it.

Some people are able to shine in many different areas, others have a more narrow focus and interests. So the approach might be different depending on each ones abilities, but focus is the key to excelling at something. Being to spread out, might lead to being ‘OK’ at many things, but not ‘amazing’ at anything.
